❋ Write letters to the Governor of California requesting that appointments to the Board of Parole Hearings (Lifer Unit) include those candidates who support Victim Rights and victim advocacy organizations

Educate yourself on each candidate’s position on Victim Rights and goals/objectives of victim advocacy organizations.  Ask, “Where do you stand on public safety and Victim Rights?”

Remain informed of legislative membership on the California Senate Rules Committee.  Thee are elected State Senators who vote on confirmation of commissioners to the Board of Parole Hearings.  Let elected officials know that “Victim Rights” must be a consideration for Board of Parole Hearings confirmation.
