RE: Murderer: John Santangelo

Ind. No. 2899-08-03

(SBI# 921016A)

Dear Chairman and Parole Board Members:

On February 3, 2004, the above perpetrator entered the home of Elizabeth Marano with the FULL intent to do physical harm to her. Knife in hand, he proceeded to stab Elizabeth multiple times (50-75 wounds) as she tried fighting for her life, stumbling through her home, leaving a trail of blood everywhere; puddles from room to room leading to her lifeless body. She was left to die on the floor; looking at the animal that killed her. In essence, she was left, scared and alone, to die in her own blood! A senseless act of cruelty and inhumanity. The lives of her family were changed forever.

Please DO NOT grant Clemency to convicted murderer, John Santangelo. He was sentenced under the NO EARLY RELEASE ACT to serve a minimum term of 10 years, 2 months and 13 days, and a parole eligibility date of March 29, 2014 - NOT 5 years, 11 months and 16 days!

Due to the heinous nature and the brutality of this crime, justice demands that this murderer be denied Clemency. He must remain behind bars for the remainder of his sentence, where he can't again harm another innocent human being.

Sincerely,

(Your name.) Only put your return address on the envelope or use the CAH return address for confidentiality at c/o CAH, PMB #321, Mailbox Etc. 336 Bon Aire Center, Greenbrae, CA 94904.

Please send a copy of your letter to the victim's family at:

Toni Putnick
c/o Ste-lar Textiles, Inc.
1301 Rt. 70 West
Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08002

2. Steven Burns. New Posting as of July 11, 2010. Please copy and paste the pre-written letter below into a Word Document, add your name, date and mail.

You can also create your own powerful email chain, emailing a copy of the letter to your family and friends and asking them to pass it on in kind. On the Hernandez case this resulted in almost 1,000 parole protest letters being sent to the parole board within one week. You have the power to make a huge difference.

Please send a letter today to keep murderer Steven Burns behind bars. Parole Hearing is September 28, 2010. Letters must be recieved by September 14, 2010.

RE: Steven Burns C-20341
Parole Hearing, September 28, 2010

CONFIDENTIAL

Dear Executive Officer Hoshino and Lifer Board,

Please DO NOT grant a parole date to the prisoner Steven Burns, C-20341, the murderer of Catina Rose Salarno. Mr. Burns shot Catina execution style, then returned to his dorm to watch Monday Night Football. He left Catina trying to crawl for help as she slowly bled to death. To this day, he has shown NO REMORSE for this horrible crime.

Public safety and punishment for this brutal, callous murder committed by Steve Burns should be your main concern. The Salarno family has a very real fear of Mr. Burns should he be paroled as he has: shown no sorrow for his heinous crime, has changed his account of the murder 8 times, and to this day still denies his guilt of the crime to which he was convicted.

In 2006, the California Appellate Court, in reviewing Catina's murder found unequivocally that her murder was 'atrocious'. The day Catina can walk the face of this earth again, is the day Steve Burns can be paroled.

This will be the 9th parole hearing the Salarno family will have to endure. In the interest of justice for the victim's family, please issue a 15-year denial.

Thank you for your consideration,

(Your first name initial and last name.) Only put your return address on the envelope or use the CAH return address for confidentiality at c/o CAH, PMB #321, Mailbox Etc., 336 Bon Aire Center, Greenbrae, CA 94904.

Please send a copy of your letter to the victim's family at:
The Salarno Family, c/o Crime Victims United of California, 1400 Atwood Road, Auburn, CA 95603.

Suggestion to Victim's Families and People Who Want to Help: To increase the number of parole opposition letters sent to the Parole Board you may choose to send a copy of the CAH sample letter to your family and friends, asking them in turn to pass it on to their family and friends, and so on..... As an example, for the Hernandez case, by creating this email chain, the victim's family was able to generate almost 1,000 parole opposition letters within one week. The more email chains created the better. The victim's families will be grateful, knowing they are not alone.
