Please DO NOT grant a parole date to convicted murderer, Thomas Patterson. On a Saturday in October 1982 Cathlene Stubbins gave Thomas Patterson a ride to his father’s house. He lured Cathi to a hotel room under the pretense of a meeting with her estranged husband, and then murdered Cathi, cut her into pieces, and then threw her in the garbage. Cathi was missing for ten (10) days when her body was discovered in a garbage dumpster. Her killer was Thomas Patterson, a friend of her estranged husband. Cathi Stubbins had taken pity on the down on his luck Patterson and allowed him to live in her garage for a short time until he got back on his feet. She knew that he was a troubled man, but out of the goodness of her heart she wanted to help him out, not knowing the full extent of his past problems. Patterson was previously convicted in 1978 for the molestation of an 8-year old girl, and paroled in 1980. He was also convicted of grand theft in 1981 while on parole, and then paroled again in 1982.
On July 23, 2013, Cathlene Anne Stubbins’ family and friends will, once again, have to relive the horrible events that led to her brutal murder and face the uncertainty that accompanies each parole hearing. Because of Patterson’s complete disregard for human life and his history of continued criminal attacks while on parole, justice demands this convicted murderer be denied parole. Thomas Patterson must be held accountable for his personal choice to lure, ambush, murder an innocent soul and dismember her body; he must accept the consequences of his actions.
Cathi was the mother to three (3) sons and the mentor to her six (6) younger sisters and brothers. In 1970, Cathi and her family settled in Mira Mesa, where Cathi was an active member of the community. Cathi worked at Lowell Mason Elementary as a teacher’s aide and yard duty ensuring the safety of the children. She was also an active member and President of the P.T.A. She was well known in the neighborhood, and was an honorary mom to many of her sons’ friends. Cathi was involved in the Mira Mesa Youth Soccer League as a coach and board member. She loved her Sharpshooters soccer teams, the girls were the daughters that she never had. Cathi provided so much and had so much more to offer this world; so many wonderful plans and dreams not only for herself, but for her three (3) beautiful children. Cathlene Stubins will never get a second chance at life. She is gone forever. Therefore, Thomas Patterson does not deserve a third chance or the privilege of freedom.
Please deny parole to convicted murderer Thomas Patterson for the maximum time allowed by State of California law.

Please DO NOT grant a parole date to Perry Law, a convicted murderer and kidnapper.Perry Jesse Law was a previously convicted felon, having served time after he used his mother as a shield during a shootout with Sheriff Deputies in the late 1970′s.On the morning of April 14, 1980, Perry Law had been at the local gun range target shooting with some friends and drinking, when he went across town from Fresno to Clovis to the apartment of Julie Lewis (with whom he had had a brief relationship the prior year).Julie had been in a long-term relationship with Daniel Hopper and was the mother of Daniel’s two children, ages 2 and 3-1/2 years at the time.After Perry Law talked his way into Julie’s apartment, he tried to convince Julie to leave Daniel and resume their relationship. When she refused, he pulled out a gun and held her and the children at gunpoint and waited for Daniel to show up.
During the interim, Perry Law threatened to kill himself, as well as Julie, saying that if he couldn’t have her, no man would.He then went on to discharge the pistol at the ceiling (the kids were upstairs in their bedroom.)When Daniel showed up in the afternoon after work as usual, Julie screamed for Daniel to leave.Instead, Daniel walked through the door and, after a brief argument, Perry Law shot Daniel. When Daniel was on the ground dying from the first shots fired, Perry Law kicked Daniel over onto his back and shot Daniel twice more in the heart. After executing Daniel, Perry Law tried to steal Julie’s car, failed and then he forced his way into another apartment and held a neighbor hostage until the Police arrived.
Perry Law was already a convicted felon when was given a life sentence for his conviction of Second Degree Murder, as well as False Imprisonment, Assault, and Burglary. The nature of the crime was brutal and violent and the use of the hostages, including his victim’s children and his own mother, shows not only callousness, but cowardice that has been repeated in multiple convictions.
He was already released from prison once and went on to commit even more violent crimes.If he was to be released, there is every indication he would represent an unwarranted risk to not only his victim’s family, but also to the community in general.Please deny parole to convicted murderer, Perry Law, for the maximum time allowed by State of California law.

Please DO NOT grant a parole date to convicted murderer, John Matthew Ray. On June 16, 1993, Ray brutally and senselessly murdered 20-year-old Chad Jeffrey Norris. Chad and two (2) friends had innocently entered a local Albertson’s in Fairfield, CA. According to witnesses, John Ray (and an accomplice) were confrontational and displayed volatile behavior toward several customers (including cashiers). Ray then focused his inciting and vicious behavior toward three (3) innocent strangers, Chad and his two friends. They made every attempt to avoid Ray; even exiting the store from a door at the opposite end of the building. As the young men walked through the parking lot, they were attacked from behind by the persistent assailants. Chad’s friend was able to fend off Ray; after which he and his accomplice then ran off into the night. Once safely reaching their apartment, Chad and his friends realized they must have dropped a rented video. Believing they were free of any further danger, the young men immediately left to retrieve the video. They could never have imagined.. that this convicted murderer and accomplice were driving the apartment complex parking lot, hunting for them. As Chad and his friends crossed the street, an unlit vehicle sped from the darkness – John Ray aimed and fired a semi-automatic handgun; loaded with “Black Talon” bullets. Chad Jeffrey Norris was struck three times and lay dead in the street. Ray planned and carried out this senseless and premeditated act of murder.
On June 27, 2013, Chad Norris’ family and friends will, once again, have to relive the horrendous events that led to his brutal murder and face the uncertainty that accompanies each parole hearing. Because of John Matthew Ray’s complete disregard for human life, sense of superiority and thirst for revenge, justice demands this convicted murderer be denied parole. Ray must be held accountable for his personal choice to stalk, hunt down and murder an innocent young man and must accept the consequences of his actions. Chad Jeffrey Norris had just begun his young adult life. He had so much to offer this world; so many wonderful plans and dreams. Chad does not get another opportunity to accomplish his dreams; he does not get a second chance at life. He is gone forever. John Matthew Ray does not deserve a second chance or the privilege of freedom.

On behalf of Dena Sam, wife of murder victim, Victim Sam, a sworn peace officer for the State of California (Correctional Officer at CRC-Norco), Mr. Sam’s extended family and many friends, Citizens Against Homicide formally requests that you do not approve the Board of Parole Hearings decision that Michael A. Martin is suitable for parole.
On July 21, 1977, Martin brutally and senselessly murdered Mr. Sam, when he robbed the victim of his wallet and discovered the Correctional Officer ID.
There are no redeeming factors that, when considered, would be favorable for parole suitability. Martin has an extensive history of violent behavior, as evidenced by the numerous disciplinary actions while incarcerated. These disciplinary actions for physical altercations resulted in a guilty finding, which clearly demonstrates that he is not willing to reform and, therefore, is NOT suitable for parole.
Again, we ask that you DO NOT give any consideration to granting a parole date to convicted murderer, Michael A. Martin.

Joseph Truby – (AWAITING PAROLE HEARING RESULTS)
Jeffrey Paul Perrotte – While under the influence of alcohol (with three (3) prior DUI convictions), Perrotte crashed his vehicle into a vehicle driven by victim Jilly Rizzo. Mr. Rizzo was trapped in his car as it began to burn. Perrotte made the decision to flee the scene, allowing the victim to burn to death. Mr. Rizzo died on his 75th birthday – May 6, 1992. On October 10, 2012, the Parole Board found Jeffrey Paul Perrotte suitable for parole. However, after a recent Board Of Parole Hearing Executive Meeting, the suitability hearing was reviewed and vacated. A new hearing date will be set at a later date.
Craig Keith Simpson – Brutally bludgeoned his wife to death with a claw hammer. To our disgust and dismay, on July 10, 2012, the Parole Board found this convicted murderer suitable for parole.
Juan Arjil – Along with his co-offender (Jesus Rocha), brutally beat and kicked Jose Molina to death. On June 20, 2012, parole was denied and continued for three (3) years.
Jesus Rocha – Along with his co-offender (Juan Arjil), brutally beat and kicked Jose Molina to death. In June 2012, Rocha waived his right for a parole hearing until June 2013.
Jose Gonzalez bound an elderly couple for whom he worked and bludgeoned them to death. On March 5, 2012, parole was denied – continued for three more years. The victims’ family wrote, “…thank you for your help in keeping Jose Gonzalez in prison.”
Brian Laudenback murdered a 22-month-old boy, breaking two ribs, lacerating his liver and pancreas, and injuring his head and face. On February 2, 2012, parole was denied – continued for five more years. The victim’s family wrote to CAH, “Thanks for the support and all of the parole opposition letters that were generated as a result of your efforts.”
Johnnie L. Spruill stalked, harassed, attacked and nearly decapitated a woman. In December 2011 parole was denied – continued for three more years. The victim’s family wrote, “Please pass this wonderful news to everyone and express how grateful we are for CAH and everyone that helped us during this trying time.”
Gerald James Youngberg (a 30-year-old parolee from Illinois) shot without motive San Bernardino Sheriff’s Lt. Alfred E. Stewart, CA Highway Patrol Officer Larry Wetterling and an innocent service station attendant. His February 8, 2012 parole hearing was cancelled due to his re-evaluation that determined he didn’t meet the criteria for this type of release at this time. The victim’s family wrote to CAH, “We can’t thank you enough for all your support. We have received numerous letters from people that wrote the parole board on our behalf. We truly appreciate each and every one.”
David E. Archer shot a 44-year-old man in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun and then purposely drove over him with his vehicle. Archer waived his right to a hearing for the second time. According to the victim’s family, “The letters sent to the prison had a huge impact, again, on the outcome of this process.”
Robert Shippman parole denied – continued for 3 more years.
William Ray Hall, Jr. stalked, assaulted, strangled, shot his victim in the face with a shotgun, threw victim’s body over a cliff, stole her vehicle and bragged about her murder. On September, 26, 2011 his parole was denied – continued for 5 more years.
David Priest stalked and shot a newlywed man 6 times in the back. On November 9, 2011 Priest and his attorney were no shows at the parole hearing.
Mark Allen Reese strangled, raped and dumped the body of 33-year-old woman. On September 21, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 10 more years.
Christopher Fowler struck, shook and threw a 22-month old baby boy to his death. On November 8, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 3 more years.
Kenneth Valjean Jones shot a Correctional Officer to death during an investigation. On October 19, 2011, parole was denied.
Brian Dennis Shannon brutally shot to death a 23-year-old woman. On September 27, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 5 more years.
Dexter Terrell Coleman brutally shot and killed a serviceman during a car hijacking.Coleman postponed his parole hearing for two years due to the large number of parole opposition letters. Next hearing October 2013.
Franklin Delano Simon, Jr. brutally shot and set on fire a college student. On August 17, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 4 years.
Joseph Lee Daily brutally beat his 7-week-old son who died of head trauma. On August 9, 2011, his parole hearing was postponed for another year.
Mark Alan Koper shot his wife who was six-months pregnant in the back of the head in front of their 17-month old daughter. On March 17, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 2 years.
Norman Simmons stabbed an elderly man to death. On May 23, 2011, Simmons’ parole was denied – continued for 2 years.
Gregory Coates brutally attacked and murdered a young wife and mother of three children. On May 11, 2011, Coates’ parole was denied – contiued for 10 years.
Stanley Darl Hunter executed a man who had taken him into his home. On May 2, 2011, Hunter waived his right to a hearing.
Craig Anderson stalked, abducted and murdered a woman. On April 25, 2011, parole was denied – continued for 5 years.
Francisco Eric Rubio bludgeoned, tortured and murdered an 18-year-old girl. On May 2, 2011, Rubio waived his right to a hearing – continued for three years.
William Robert Geiger after Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, Geiger executed his estranged wife, shooting her several times in front of her mother and grandmother. On April 18, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 2 years.
Mark Jay Baker bludgeoned a man to death. On March 9, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Darryl Poole shot a husband in front of his wife because he “wasn’t driving fast enough”, firing through the rear window of the victim’s car with an assault rifle. On February 18, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 5 years. Over 600 letters were sent requesting denial of his parole.
Michael L. Grant savagely beat, slashed and burned a 74-year-old woman. On January 20, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
David E. Archer shot a 44-year-old man in the chest and drove over him with a car. The prison received so many letters to keep Archer in prison, Archer decided to waive his right to a hearing – continued for 1 year.
Philip Clark Watts stabbed an 82-year-old man 63 times. On January 10, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Clifford Kenneth Myelle bludgeoned a man to death, striking him 33 times with a claw hammer. On January 11, 2011, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Warren Robert Bozzo a convicted triple murderer, was denied parole on November 23, 2010, and continued for 15 years. The Parole & Classification Representative said that they stopped counting the letters after they reached 500. The stack of letters received requesting denial of parole was stated to have measured 2.5 inches.
Denise Fitzpatrick Poer convicted of pre-meditated murder, was denied parole on November 23, 2010, and continued for 5 years.
Robert John Mahoney savegely beat and strangled a 31-year-old woman. On October 13, 2012, parole was denied – continued for 5 years.
Roger E. Chavez stabbed a mother of 4 to death. On September 15, 2010, parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Hiroyasu Rody Itai murdered two women. On October 7, 2010, parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Richard Lamar Leaman murdered a mother with 4 young children. On October 18, 2010, parole denied – continued for 5 years.
Steven Burns murdered a female college student. On September 28, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Barbara P. Hernandez was convicted of First Degree, Premeditated Murder and Robbery. Hernandez’s Life Without Parole Commutation Request Denied by Governor on September 3, 2010.
Robert T. Mattos convicted of murder and attempted murder. On July 13, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Gean Baptiste Gamio stabbed his wife to death on Christmas. On June 22, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 10 years.
Jeffery Paul Perrotte convicted of murder by fire. On June 8, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 3 years.
William Walter Nichols convicted of a Premeditated Double Homicide. On May 11, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 5 years.
Simon Macias stabbed a 19-year old woman to death. On February 10, 2010, his parole was denied – continued for 3 years.
Stephen Metz murdered his wife, in what was referred to by authorities as the most brutal in the state of Georgia. His projected release date is July 3, 2053.
Silas Elijah Robinson murdered two people. In December 2009, his parole was denied. Robinson may request another parole hearing in 15 years.
Chuck Edward Johnson murdered a three year old. In December 2009, his parole was denied – continued for 7 years.
Bruce Haims bludgeoned a 21-year old woman to death. On December 10, 2009, his parole was denied by the State of New York.
Jack Vian Jr. convicted of murdering two people. Parole was denied.
De Ellen Bellah convicted of Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Parole was denied – next review October 2014.
Mark Allen Reese convicted of Murder. On September 16, 2009, his parole was denied.
Kenneth V. Jones murdered a Law Enforcement Officer in South Carolina, on July 4, 1979. On June 17, 2009, his parole was denied.
